Birthday-Martin Luther King, Jr.

"I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality... I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word."

Martin Luther King, Jr.

  1. Let's really hope that he's right! It seems to take time, but we must keep the hope!!!

  2. I can only imagine the tide of optimism that must be sweeping the US at the moment, what a time to live in.

However pessimistic you might feel about the state of the world, and regardless of how impossible it will be to live up to expectations, the feelgood feeling has even reached this side of the Atlantic.

Let's hope that it is a unifying experience.

  7. Thanks for visiting my blog. I agree with you, there aren't as many tributes to Dr. Martin Luther King as I'd anticipated. On a positive note, having Dr. King as the theme has brought double traffic to my site today. Civil rights matter!

Stop back my blog when you have time or if you want to learn more about Greensboro, NC.

I love your blog-- especially the photos of the Hmong women.
